TPA newsletter > TPA Successfully Launches New Regulator Product into Vietnam

Great news from the R&D department! TPA has successfully developed its LR21BR (EFV) – a manually re-setting regulator with an excess flow valve, a key feature for advanced regulators. It has initially obtained orders for more than 180, 000 pieces.

TPA never stops striving for better LPG products. Starting in mid-Dec 2009, the R&D department in TPA Metals & Machinery initiated the LR21BR (EFV) regulator development project for the Vietnamese market. Through repeated designing, sample testing and refining, the team finally completed all verification tests this past June and began mass production of the regulators.

The excess flow valve is a device integrated with the regulator, which restricts residual flow rate or shuts off the gas flow for rates greater than the designated flow rate. This device has excellent safety performance in all cases of disconnection of hose downstream from the regulator. With the emergence of excess flow valve fitted regulators, the safety of gas consuming products has improved, and the confidence level in the safety of gas products is raised with consumers
