TPA newsletter > TPA group passes the annual audit of FSC-COC once again
On Feb 23, 2011, TPA group successfully passed the annual FSC-COC audit with the great result of non-violation!
For the annual FSC-COC audit by a third-party certification body, SGS, auditors reviewed the production site, material handling, importation, sales, document control, monitoring system, logo use, FSC-COC system controls, training, and related laws and regulations of the Dongguan manufacturing facility.
FSC Forest Stewardship Council was established in 1993, as an independent, non-profit and non-governmental organization, based in Bonn, Germany. FSC aims to promote forest certification and promote environmentally responsible, socially beneficial and economically viable forest management activities. COC Chain-Of-Custody tracks the original wood from the forest to the consumer, including the handling, processing, manufacturing, and sales of wooden products. FSC-COC certification ensures the entire production and marketing chain, and the traceability of FSC is well managed in order to reach its stated goal.
As per the FSC-COC system standards, TPA group identified the various duties of management, and vigorously pushed the FSC-COC system internally to maintain continuous improvement, with strict monitoring to ensure that wood from the forest to the factory, to consumers throughout the marketing process, are well regulated in order to achieve both environmental protection objectives, and also ensure the quality requirements of consumers.
This successful audit is resulted from all TPA group members’ great effort. It also reaffirms the TPA group, as a major international manufacturing company which actively takes a leadership role in corporate social responsibility. TPA’s strict supply chain management and its eco-compliant products help maintain TPA’s competitiveness in an increasingly environmentally aware world! TPA will continue to work with global customers, suppliers, and its employees to grow together, and create the four-win situation!
